About me

I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including farms, schools, and community mental health clinics. Throughout these experiences and through all of the people I’ve met, I’ve learned time and time again that the same threads run throughout all people. We all want acceptance, to feel safe and seen, to connect with loved ones, and to feel a sense of purpose in life.

In my work with clients, the relationship between the client and myself is always the basis and most important part of the work. We can get to know each-other through talking, not talking, games, sharing special interests, laughing about neurodivergent quirks, or trading tips about the best fidget toys. Within reason, I am willing to be flexible and shape therapy into whatever form will be the most helpful, comfortable, and safe.

Once a safe and accepting relationship is established, amazing work can happen. Although I am a guide on your journey, you are the expert on your own experience. With your life experience and my therapy training, we can make a great team to uncover the path to a more grounded, meaningful existence.

Outside of my role as a therapist, I love sewing, reading, swimming, and spending time with loved ones.
